Samaritans of Buxton and High Peak are celebrating 50 years of listening in 2025. 

Our branch relies on your donations to stay open for our highly trained volunteers to continue to take calls from those who are struggling emotionally, giving them time and undivided attention to talk through their problems and feelings. We are open 365 days a year, covering days, nights, and holidays.

To celebrate our special anniversary, we are asking our local community to help us by raising £50 (or more) for our branch by donating or creating a fund raiser, and just as importantly help us raise the awareness of what we do, encouraging people to talk to us earlier before things get too difficult.

Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide. We believe that suicide is preventable.
