My Story

Catherine and Julie are taking on Dawn Walk this October. Many of you will know someone (perhaps you've been in this position yourself) who is struggling right now, and is in need of support. If you'd like to take part with us in solidarity then please join us on Sunday 9th October at 6.50am at the walkers carpark on Stinchcombe golf course.

Catherine is walking in memory of her sister Frances who she lost to suicide in 2013. A suicide attempt happens every minute of every day. These statistics are staggering and yet remain hidden and not discussed. The walk is to bring the issues of suicide, depression, and mental disorders into the spotlight.

If you can't join us, please donate -your donation could answer the call for help that saves someones life. I've included more information about Samaritans and their lifesaving work below.

Thank you!

Every ten seconds, Samaritans answer a call for help. We're here, day or night, for anyone who's struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, we're taking action to prevent the crisis. We give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others.
Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans vision is that fewer people die by suicide. That's why we work tirelessly to reach more people and make suicide prevention a priority.
