Lands End to John O'Groats Cycle Ride

My Story

I am embarking on a personal challenge, something I have wanted to do for a long time, which is to cycle from one end of the country Lands End, to the other end at John O'Groats.  The ride will take me over 1000 miles.

I am starting the ride on the 3rd June with the intention of completing by the 17th June.  I am not taking the most direct route but using quieter, traffic free roads where I will also call into Samaritans branches along the route where possible.  The ride is unsupported and self funded.

I am doing this also to raise vital funds for Darlington and District Samaritans.  Samaritans vision is that fewer people die by suicide. The mission is to make sure there’s someone there for anyone who needs someone, to give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others, and to campaign to make suicide prevention a national and local priority. Together they make change that saves lives

If you or anyone you know can spare even just a small amount, this would be greatly appreciated.  Please share this far and wide to help support the Samaritans team who do a fabulous job.

Thank you,

Chris
