My Story

I am walking the length of Scotland in the summer of 2023, continuing my trek that took me the length of England in 2022.  Along the way I hope to raise some money to support the Chiltern branch of the Samaritans.

The Samaritans is there for anyone struggling to cope, day or night, 365 days a year.  I am very proud to work for them as a listening volunteer.

I hope that by putting one foot in front of the other for 44 days across the challenging Scottish landscape, I can help to keep my local branch going.

As a musician, I am adding an extra dimension to my walk by pledging to listen to any piece of music suggested by a sponsor. If you tell me the title and artist on the comments page I promise to listen to it the next day, and mention it in my blog too. Maybe it's something motivational, maybe it's your favourite piece! Or even something that would make me laugh. I look forward to seeing the suggestions.
