Bury St Edmunds & West Suffolk Samaritans.

I'm running the 2024 London Marathon on Sunday 21st April 2024 which is going to be a huge challenge as the furthest I have run up to this point is 10km (a Marathon is 42k!)

My local branch of The Samaritans has served our community day and night for 50 years and right now their services are much needed, the challenge I will be facing is nothing compared to the challenges some in our community face each day and it is the Samaritans who are always there to listen.

Bury St Edmunds & West Suffolk Samaritans are a charity in their own right with no funding centrally, it costs £104 per day to keep the branch running, All 128 people at the Branch, including the Director are volunteers and all funds need to be raised locally. I'm hoping I can play a small part in keeping this vital service going for our community in West Suffolk.
