My Story
Samaritans is a unique charity dedicated to reducing feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide. Every six seconds they respond to a call for help. Every year, they answer more than 5 million calls for help by phone, email, SMS, letter or face to face at one of their local branches. Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, every day, before, during and after a crisis.
After a two year delay the Samaritans Heritage bike ride from London to York (https://samsheritage.bike/) on the 21st May 2022.
The ride starts at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich and finishes six days later in York, passing through Colchester, Newmarket, King's Lynn, Lincoln and Hull for a total ride distance of around 350 miles. The ride will raise awareness and funds for this essential charity.
