About us

Sevenoaks Samaritans opened in October 2020 and since then we've grown into a thriving volunteer community, with more than 100 fully trained listeners.  Without the generosity and kindness of our amazing volunteers who take calls and answer emails, we would not be where we are, and we are also reliant on a team of support volunteers, who help to run the service.

Our aim is to offer emotional support to anyone who is in distress and struggling to cope with life. Mental health issues will not disappear, and it's crucial that we offer our support to those in need, day or night, 365 days a year. In addition, we team up with our local council and other voluntary and community groups so that we can provide even better services for those in distress, focussing on groups who have particular need for our services.

Our branch is self-funding and we are reliant upon donations so that we can support those in need. We are ambitious in our goals and your generosity will make a significant difference as we go forward.
